Ditchling Quaker Meeting

These meetings are open to all. Please come to any you wish. During each evening programme local members of Ditchling Quaker Meeting will present a personal view of each subject. This is followed by discussions in small groups and in plenary, giving everyone a chance to share their impressions of the talks and to give their own views. There will be the opportunity to take part in a 30minute Meeting for Worship each evening. Quaker Worship and God Our speakers start off the series of talks and discussions by talking about their belief in God and their experience of Quaker Meeting for Worship. Monday 22 September 2008 at 6.30 for 7.00pm Repeated/Expanded Monday 13 October 2008 Quaker Values in Action Quakers have a historical tradition of oppositon to war, not taking oaths, fair dealing. Quakers worked to abolish slavery, and were instrumental in starting organisations like Oxfam and Amnesty International. What does this witness to our faith mean today?
